Hi, I'm curious as to what the story is with negotiating rent versus advertised? And if you got it down, where did you find the add? e.g sherry fitz / evening herald etc... Thanks

Well, if it's a renter's market, you might be able to negotiate downwards. If it's a landlord's market, you won't.

Figuring out which you are in is the trick. It just depends on what the demand is like for that particular property at that particular time.

In general, rents are strengthening at the moment, indicating a landlord's market. But don't take my word for it ...
