Did I mention that a girl who was in my primary school, her dad played Father Dick Byrne. And Goose-mans cousin did write Father Ted. It's just so classic and the type of comedy those damn-yanks can't understand-what's more to love about it.

Oh, and the winner of this year's Father Ted, his specialist subject in the final was Father Ted! It HAS to be Father Ted!:D

A year or two ago I heard there was going to be an american version of Father Ted. My guidance councellor was talking to us about . . . can't remember what exactly, some college I think. Not sure. Anyway she mentioned some guy who had gone there when she mentioned he was in a new Father Ted everyone suddenly started paying attention.
Anyone else heard anything about this cos I haven't, though I haven't really been trying.

    Also, I have a blog?

Boards are giving blogs to non-subscribers now, but there are still a few glitches (ie, I cant sign into mine)

Father, are you not going to introduce me to the new father?
Oh, right, of course. Tell you what, why dont you guess?
    Guess?
    Go on, have a go?
Aw but Father, it could be anything.
Still though, give it a try!
    Father Andy Rielly.
    No.
Father Desmond Coyne, Father George Byrne, Father David Nicholson, Father Declan Lynch.
    I'll give you a clue.
NO CLUES! I'll get it in a minute. Father Ken Sweeney, Father Neil Hannon, Father Keith Cullen, Father Kieran Donnelly, Father Mick Mackavoy, Father Jack White, Father Henry Bigbiggin, Father Hank Tree, Father Hiroshima Twinkie, Father Stig Bubblecard, Father Johnny Halsspoppin, Father Luke Duke, Father Billy Furry, Father Chewie Louie, Father John Hoop, Father Hairycake Lynam, Father Rabbulah Conundrum, Father PeeWee Stairmaster, Father Tightened Lips, Father Jemimah Ractuohy, Father Jerry Twig, Father Spodo Komodo, Father Kanabramalama, Father Tod Unctious.
    YES!
*relief* thought you'd forgot Father Neil Hannon for a second, in which case I would have had to kill you for leaving out the greatest in-joke ever.

Every name up to Father Henry Bigbiggin is an in-joke.

I think you mean Mastermind. You've got Ted on the brain

If I went on Mastermind, I'd answer the question before last.

What would be your specialist subject if you went on Mastermind, Ciaran?

Specialist subjects can be dodgy though. Remember when Father Ted went on Eoin McLove's show [a cash prize!!] and his final question was "What was Pope John Paul's name before he became Pope?"

    (".........Jim?")

Yes but that was a general knowledge question. If you remember, he got all his questions right on his specialist subject, William Shatner's Techwars

No, they should be in this poll. South Park are responsible for so much goodness in the world! Blame Canada? Uncle****er? Critter Christmas! Such genius and quality, it deserves to be on this poll! *stamps foot and bangs table*

Blame Canada. What genius. It makes such things as 'Cant someone else do it' and 'Fry did it' look tame. And never mind such great songs as 'The Garbageman' and 'See my vest'.

South Park sucks. I've dropped sandwiches and made better characters then they have.

Once upon a time, I would have agreed. But no more!
And you forget the genius of 'Spam Spam Spam' or 'Every Sperm is sacred'.

But South Park does suck! Although the movie wasn't that bad. It has it's moments.

I have to agree that South Park is a bit stupid and the characters are one-dimensional but that doesn't really stop it from being funny, does it?

Cliodhna the only thing ball-achingly hilarious about South Park is when Cartman is singing about I think Kennny's mom being a bitch then he says "What? Oh fuk." And the Uncle fuker song. Now thats hilarious. BTW this is Adam. P.S. Am I the only one who's appalled that The Mighty Boosh is not here?!
