Just to save real threads being cluttered and for the bored amongst you, i know your there also a place to get to know each other i suppose so any uses for such a little thread, but like i say its like a little cookoos nest for itcalrow

i don't use IRC i find it unsecure and unfriendly, i'm in dublin till september so can't meet up i'm sue there are others like me

i know little about comp security, but the fact of being able to be pinged make me feel unscure and i always feel paranoid on it jaoibh and i debated this a few weeks ago and he's big on the comps as a few compsocers will know and he assured me its safe with the firewall i use but i don't feel comfortable on it

i just had a large response to the fear of an ircd being able to ping you but it felt wrong to post it when i think about the level you feel you're at..

suffice to say alot of very tech savvie people use irc... and i think you could easily accept that they possibly know something you don't
