Meh, was okay. Reminded me of the Sg-1 episode where jack got trapped on a planet (not the one with maybourn)
I thought the Predator would get better jobs than a bit part on atlantis.

liked it when McKay tried to fob off the explaination of the time shift to the nunces of group!!:D

So then I wasn't the only one thinking "100 Days 2: 180 Days". I really like "100 Days", so I had mixed feelings here. It wasn't as well done as the original in terms of characterisation - I felt more for Jack when he was stranded and RDA conveyed a much better sense of longing to get home. That's why I like that episode so much.

This one did have time dilation explanation to give it an extra edge of frustration as to why they didn't appear to care (although it certainly seems some of the time events are a bit wonky). The would-be Ascendees weren't very well drawn and I'd have liked more background to them and why they chose to be haunted by a monster that's even clichéd for the SG universe.

Middle of the road, saved again by some great McKay scenes - always confident in his own genius.

the monster was only generated by their fear or something and created by the machine thingy.

It was alright, it was basically a filler episode.

haha, reading about it on gateworld.net Joe Flannigan (Sheppard) wrote this one. best part of the paragraph - "And I got the standard reply that I always get when I pitch a story, which is, 'Oh, we did that on SG-1, Joe. Episode 157 ... haven't you seen it?"

    Pity.

I don't think they choose, their sub-conscious did most of the work. Perhaps it was some device the ancients left behind to manefest their last step to accension, to make them realise what was holding them back and help them overcome it.

It's kinda becoming the same thing over again.. McKay getting pissed for some reason, mostly people wanting answers as he rants on for a bit. I'm getting the feeling they're stuffing too much in to each episode without haveing much storyline development. Especially with this one but I suppose that was the nature of the episode.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who caught the 'Forbidden Planet' references. The monster from the id, the advanced race who no longer exist yet who created this huge machine (granted you never get to see it in SGA ) the love interest from the visitor etc. If you'ver seen it you'll have picked them up if you haven't I recommend it, classic sci-fi!

I was interested in the bit where shepard said "have we met?" to the hot would-be ascendee chick.
she looked vaguely similar to the wraith-worshipper spy girl in 2x11

Yeah, the SG-1 ep was better.

This one reminded me of lots of different stories.

    Predator
    Thors hammer
    A Hundred Days
And some Star Trek Voyager eps.

It was quite good all the same...:v:

arghh crappy filler episode, even the time dialation wasnt done well, dont know about you but if i didnt shave for 6 months, i would have a fairly bigger beard

Why did he even have a beard?
Does being stranded mean you're forbidden to shave?

Good for pointless filler but could have been so much more.
The sanctuary, (th ancients sure made alot of them), the beast, the people, the ascension, the time dilation...all these elements could have/should have been further explored.
Bloody hell....both of this weeks episodes have just been rip off's.....very dissapointing in the grand scheme of things.

Again, it was saved by McKay...'Conana and Xena'...brilliant.

I still don't understand...or like, this new team dynamic.
