DMW to support Call of Duty 2?

    DMW to support Call of Duty 2


    Infinity Ward took the surprising step of releasing their latest First Person Shooter game "Call of Duty 2" without an integrated Anti-Cheat. This has left the COD 2 Community in turmoil as the cheat makers were releasing cheats before the actual game had been released. We were asked if DMW3 was going to be available for COD 2 by concerned players and so the work rate was increased to keep the promise made to the Mohaa community to release DMW 3 first, and then move onto COD 2.

    During the development of the SE client, a method of integrating new games without having to totally rewrite the client software was perfected. The move to protect another game such as COD 2 is now possible with minimal delay. We notified our intention to look at Call of Duty 2 on the IWN forum, and received a mixed response which we expected. Thankfully, some of the replies were both complimentary and encouraging.

    DMW then took the next step of looking at the clans that played Call of Duty and asked the following clans; Tek-9, Ocrana, Rize, Junk52 and our own Gold Clans to assist with the incorporation of COD 2 into the portfolio of DMW3 protected games. Each of these clans were very excited at the idea of an anticheat that is as flexible as DMW3 that had the capacity to cover the new game. All of the clans agreed to assist with testing of DMW 3 for COD 2 and participate where possible with the production of the software.

    A Showcase competition is planned for these which will be played in the near future. The competition will be held in association with DMW BattleServers who will also be hosting the servers for the competition.

    DMW will be working closely with these clans to implement ideas and changes that are needed to make our software the best anticheat package available. One of the intended additions will include the ability to set up a server for a particular type of war via a client owned by the scanner owner or one of their trustees.

    DMW 3 will be released for Medal Of Honor and then our intention will be to release DMW 3 for general use after the showcase competition is completed and we have had the seal of approval from the testing clans. We will also be looking at running a secondary competition open to all comers that will start once DMW 3 is available to the general public. This competition will run on the lines of a prize for the highest number of frags with a particular weapon whilst playing on a DMW 3 protected demonstration server hosted by DMW BattleServers.
