    Hi,
This might be a silly question but here goes. We are nearing the end of a house renovation and we are trying our best to get in before xmas. We have still have to sand the floors and paint the walls however we still have palsterers in working on area's that require sanding, however some walls are ready for paint and sanding but i want to sand in a weekend to save on sander hire. Would it be bad practice to paint where required and sand the floors afterwards? Would the dust from the sanding effect the paint at all (obviously it will have dried!).

    Any suggestions welcome
    D

No that would be fine , paint first, sand afterwards, in fact it is the way to go. A good rule of thumb when decorating a room is to start at the top and work down. Ceilings, walls then floors. You will probably get some dust on the lower parts of the walls from sanding but just brush it off with a clean soft brush.
