    I am having trouble setting up my router its a netopia 3347 WG i have read through the posts one helped but it was for a different model router can any one help its for the PS2

    Any help greatly appreciated

    If you're refering to my post, then it's for your exact router, as mine is the same. :)

    It comes up for a different model on www.portforward.com but it's the same method used exactly.

    I would say your router is blocking ports.

    A ISP do not block ports, so you would need to reconfigure your router settings on:
    www.portforwarding.com

    There is no Pinholes option in the advanced tab

    Thats weird, here's what mine looks like:

    No mine looks nothing like that

    Its deffinatley a 3347WG there is no advice for it on portforward.com

    Its called NAT on your router.

    But the idea is the same you need that port opened.

    If the admin menu is stumping you, ring your ISP and get them to talk you through it.

    I called my ISP they cant help me they say it is unsafe to do it so they cant over any info i have NAT option but cant work out what to do

    the options i have when i select NAT are
    Service Name
    Global Port Range
    Base Host Port:
    Protocol:

    I know what to put in the Service Name and what protocol to select but the others i havnt a clue about

    bastards, take a pciture of the screen (hit print screen and then paste the image into paint and post it here).

    Routers firmware are different even tho the modem is the same.

    Tried that all ready it just says unable to transmit using UDP port 5730
    can you suggest any thing else getting very pissed off at this stage

    Can i change the firmware

    When you do it you are restarting the router and confirming the service is started in the admin page?

    The router MUST be restarted when you change a service.

    For some reason it works now i got into the lobby where do i find my username and password i take it that you dont just make one up because that didnt work

    Plus when it did conect i was no longer able to access the internet on my PC is this ment to happen
