Probably asked a million times but the search function is disabled!

My sister lives in Canada but is coming home for Christmas. Can she take home a second generation iPod for me as a gift and avoid paying the tax on it?

Maybe it would be OK if she took it outta the box, and used it, so that would be classed as personal belongings?

I brought a new Creative Zen home from the US back in May, I had it in my hand luggage, but had cracked open the cellophane wrapping. No problems getting it through.

Will have no problems at all.

Sure most of the customs/security agents are usually asleep anyway and don't check anything!
