Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wireless in UCD

I have a friend in UCD, she wants to use her laptop to connect to a wireless hot-spot in UCD.
The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 5160 but she's not sure if it has wireless capability
    so the question is:

Can she simply buy a usb dongle like this http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=305053&cks=SPC and connect once she has the password from UCD?
What's the difference between the dongle and a CardBus adapter like this http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=301534&cks=PRL ??

    Thanks for any advice.

yes either card will work fine. Only noticeable difference is that they use different ports to connect to laptop.

So what ever takes her fancy. I'd go with the pc card one as it will leave all the usb ports free for memory key, ipod or what ever.
