Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

...well? Anything that never fails to grab you?

I just love the way Krome n Time's 'This Sound is for the Underground' starts, or LFO's 'LFO'.

I really like the intro to Terra Ferma feat. I-Ching - Obelix and to Li Kwan - Point Zero. Nice beatless (well, almost) intros with good orchestration and sound effects.

Another worthy mention is Friends, Lovers & Family - Tribute (almost 2 1/2 minutes of an intro!!).

    Seanie.

I'd have to say LSD Hallucinogenic by The Orb

    S-express - Theme From S-express

I really like the start to Pulsar (verdi mix) by Mauro Picotto from The Others. Starts slow (the calm before the storm) then breaks out to a really fast pumping tune.

There's a few favourites, but the first one that springs to mind is Halycon by Orbital. All these gorgeous layers building up until the bassline starts - it still gives me the goosebumps and reminds me of all the times I heard it live.

Tony De Vit - I dont care, that slow build up is fukin **** cool, and when the bells kick in its just savage. It takes ages to get to the main part but its well worth it, still get a buzz off it after all the times ive heard it :v:

Underworld - Two Months Off. Love that keyboard sound, builds up perfectly

I love the intros to the following tunes...

Laurent Garnier - Man with the red face
    Orbital - Halcyon
    Leftfield - Song for life
    Underworld - Born Slippy
    Spectrum - Kinda New

I'm leaving out tons of tunes for sure but I'm pissed and I can't remember half of my favs so meh...

Agree on the tune but its not by The Orb?

    Others that I love...

    Paragliders - Paragliders
Innersphere - Lets Go To Work
Vapourspace - Anaximander's Time Stick (What a build!)
Green Velvet - Flash (doesn't stand out too much as a start, just how it builds is excellent)
Slam - Intensities In-Ten-Cities (Unbelievable tune - defo an all time favourite)

    Plenty more as always.

Ye olde Climatize by the Prodigy, but then I like everything about that song. Halycon also tweedles my intro senses, however for sheer intro badassness I'd go for Dirt by Death in Vegas. It's a monster and I love it so.

It's 'O.D. On Groove' by Furmosa.

One's that I can think of at the are, 'Music for the Masses' by Floor Federation and 'Minefields' by the Prodg.

I'm not sure if you are confusing this with an old school track Crescendo - Are you out there?

If you are not, Crescendo is also a tune with a monster intro.

Was it not the Bassheads that done that track?

Some good choices so far. I'd definitely agree with that one. Still one of my favourites that I don't get sick of hearing. Awesome intro and tune. That tune is a journey that still sends shivers down my spine.

there's so many, and maybe i've just been listening to too much new stuff. but from the last year or so nothing has come close to:
extrawelt - soopertrack as an intro to the sky was pink
    23 minute epic.
i don't see how the tracks can exist independently!
