Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

For you lucky people that have an xbox360 can you let me know how if at all networking your xbox with your PC works out.

I have read that if you install Microsoft Media connect2.0 on your PC you can stream music and photos' from your PC. But have heard differing reports about video streaming. (i.e Avi, mpeg, xvid)

If any of you lucky owners network your 360 over coming days I would love to know if video was able to be transfered as well

    Thanks

got it today. Yeah that program allows you to stream music and phots really easily, it's fantastic. Can't figure out how to stream video though, doesn't seem to support that.

It wont stream video's unless you have the media centre windows thing, you can only stream music and view pics with XP

It works really well - for example in the middle of a race in project gotham racing , I pressed the superduperxboxbutton or whatever they call the big middle thingy and the options come up, click music, hover over 'PC' then press Y to play all(the program had already allowed me to set which folders contain music when setting up), the music starts playing instantaneously(far quicker than it takes to load winamp or media player on the PC itself), then you go back to the game and PGR's soundtrack has been replaced with yours.

Right now I just have it streaming in the dashboard, which comes with some cool looking visualisation.

As far as I know the 360 comes with the Media Centre Extender component but this only allows WMV video playback. However, I'm anxious for someone to try and run VideoLAN using this little 'hole'?. That'd be cool. Then you should be able to do Xvid/Divx and a bunch of other stuff.
