http://www.irishrail.ie/news_centre/travel_alerts.asp?action=view&news_id=608WeatherWatch, all rail services operating: minor revisions to Galway & Waterford Intercity schedule by Corporate Communications
WEATHER WATCH - UPDATE Monday 11th January, 11.45hrs
Iarnród Éireann has advised customers that all rail routes are continuing to operate around the network during the freezing conditions. Some minor delays may occur.
Rail personnel are manning strategically important locations on the network to ensure that snow is kept clear of points to ensure services operate.
Please note Docklands/Clonsilla services will resume normal operation from this afternoon, beginning with the 15.30hrs Clonsilla to Docklands train. This follows the diversion of these services to and from Connolly since Wednesday last.
MINOR SERVICE REVISIONS FROM MONDAY 11TH JANUARY
As a precautionary measure to ensure service reliability, Iarnród Éireann is temporarily ceasing the practice of "splitting and joining" trains during the day, as extreme cold conditions outside of the depot environment can expose the control and mechanical systems of train couplers to faults.
To facilitate this, the following service revisions will apply from Monday 11th January until the current cold spell passes:
07.10hrs Waterford to Heuston & 07.40hrs Waterford to Heuston will be amalgamated with capacities of both trains combined, and operate to the 07.40hrs Waterford to Heuston schedule throughout. All other services on this route will operate to the normal schedule.
11.05hrs Galway to Heuston cancelled. All other services on the route will operate to the normal schedule.
All other routes on the network will continue to operate to a normal schedule.
Iarnród Éireann thanks customers for their cooperation with these arrangements.

This closure is to facilitate the construction of the Luas Citywest Red Line extension from Belgard to Saggart.Services from the city-bound platform on Belgard Luas stop are not affected.
Belgard passengers travelling to Tallaght should take a city-bound Luas to Kingswood and then change to a Luas to Tallaght.

Alternatively we would ask Luas passengers to avoid Belgard Luas stop altogether and use Kingswood or Cookstown stops if possible until this phase of the upgrade works is complete.

WEATHER WATCH - UPDATE Tuesday 12th January, 18.00hrs
Iarnród Éireann has advised customers that all rail routes are continuing to operate around the network during the freezing conditions.
Rail personnel are manning strategically important locations on the network to ensure that snow is kept clear of points to ensure services operate.
Please note Docklands/Clonsilla services have resumed normal operation to/from Docklands Station.
