Route 47 Timetable Change & Realignment

From Monday 24th January 2011 Route 47 will have a revised timetable. This revision is based on the customer demand for services and feedback on the reliability of the route.

Route 47 will continue to operate from Belarmine to City Centre (Pearse Street Garda Station) via Sandyford Industrial Estate, Stillorgan Shopping Centre, Old Dublin Road, Stillorgan Road (N11), Nutley Lane, Merrion Road and Mount Street to Pearse Street. Please note a number of daytime journeys will operate via Trees Road Lower, North Avenue and Fosters Avenue to and from the City Centre. For full timetable details click here.

This change will lead to improved journey times and reliability for the vast majority of customers on the route.

Bus 111 timetable is changing on the 6th of Feb.
The one visible change is the addition of a stop in Ballinagh near Cavan.
    http://www.buseireann.ie/pdf/1296576685-111.pdf

This provides a 4 busses each way daily to Cavan town's largest commuter town.

(which is a damn good improvement over the one rickety private bus daily which previously was the only operator allowed to provide services to the village apart from TAXIs. )

More monumental bus expansion in the Cavan region.

Cavan Monaghan services are rising from 1 per day, to 5 commuter services.
(the 2, 3 on a friday, expressway not included)

(For anyone in North County Dublin)

    Quoted from urbus.ie
As and from Monday 22nd August 2011 a new much curtailed bus
timetable will operate due to the sharp decline in passenger usage.

In addition, this service will now only operate Monday to Friday with no week-end service operating.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

    No loss.

I've travelled from Germany to Castleknock a load of times in past few years and not once has there been a service from them that would get me to an early morning plane nor back from an evening flight.
Maybe nobody in Urbus knows or has ever travelled abroad, but most European flights leave Dublin at the crack of dawn on their first run and the second run lands in at 9pm or later back into Dublin, neither scenario being covered by Urbus "airport service".
Taxis have made a fortune from me.

Not to mention that it takes 50 minutes to get to the airport from Castleknock even if you do have a flight in the middle of the day .
The 109A has you in Navan as quick as the Urbus to castleknock!!

Dublin Bus have announced temporary changes for approximately 3 months in the Dun Laoghaire area that are affecting 4 bus routes.

This is due to a closure of Glenageary Road Lower from Monday 24th September to the 14th December (For many reasons without noting the reason for the road closure, this is going to become a nightmare for many commuters and DB users, unless they use the DART or the 46a).

    The routes affected are 7, 7d, 45a and 111.

The 111 from Dun Laoghaire to Loughlinstown will be operating a temporary timetable for this period.

It is noted that the normal fares and stages still apply on this route.

The diversions of the other routes are noted here.

have irishrail simply given up announcing when there are delays ?sitting on the dart due to leave Greystones at 630 this morning and was still sitting in greystones at 640 , not a huge issue but would be nice to know why ....

the dart was already almost late just arriving into the station at 628 then the driver proceeded to amble up along the platform , i mean even pretend to care about your customers a little
