another problem with not being assigned an ip address is if you move from one place in ucd to another, the solution to this problem (always happens in the library for me) is to go to the start menu-run and type cmd. then in the command prompt line type "ipconfig/release" that will release your old ip address. after that type "ipconfig/renew" that should do the trick!:D
