Niemen Marcus Cookie Recipe

    I got this email, and this is suppose to be the recipe they sell for $250 for thier cookies....try it out and see if they are any good..I will soon:

    NEIMAN-MARCUS COOKIES (Recipe may be halved)
    > 2 cups butter
    > 24 oz. chocolate chips
    > 4 cups flour
    > 2 cups brown sugar
    > 2 tsp. soda
    > 1 tsp. salt
    > 2 cups sugar
    > 1 8 oz. Hershey Bar ! (grated)
    > 5 cups blended oatmeal
    > 4 eggs
    > 2 tsp. baking powder
    > 2 tsp. vanilla
    > 3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)

    > Measure oatmeal, and blend in a blender to a fine powder. Cream the
    > butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla, mix together with
    > flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add chocolate chips,
    > Hershey Bar, and nuts.
    > Roll into balls, and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet.

    > Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 112 cookies.

    Sounds good but what would be a suitable substitute for the Hershey bar?
    (Also, I wonder how far around the world this recipe has spread? :D )

    hmmm, well I imagine you could just leave it out if you didnt want that...
    or substitute another sweet chocolate bar...shouldnt make too much difference, may even be better;)

    btw,
    I got wind that this recipe may not be the real niemen marcus recipe afterall, but hey its worth a shot...looks good anyway :D

    in my above post you will see that I say it may not be the real recipe...because I saw the above link elsewhere ;)
    it's still a recipe though and Id be interested in seeing how it turns out.
