Pool 1: Greece, Netherlands, Portugal, England, Czech Republic, France & Sweden

Pool 2: Germany, Croatia, Italy, Turkey, Poland, Spain & Romania

Pool 3: Serbia-Montenegro, Russia, Denmark, Norway, Bulgaria, Ukraine & Slovakia

Pool 4: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Republic of Ireland, Belgium, Latvia, Israel, Scotland & Slovenia

Pool 5: Hungary, Finland, Estonia, Wales, Lithuania, Albania & Iceland

Pool 6: Georgia, Macedonia, Belarus, Armenia, Northern Ireland, Cyprus & Moldova

Pool 7: Liechtenstein, Azerbaijan, Andorra, Malta, Faroe Islands, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg & San-Marino

The draw for the UEFA EURO 2008 qualifying competition will take place at the Convention Centre in Montreux, Switzerland on 27 January 2006 at 12.00CET.

Yea...one from each pool.So we avoid Bosnia-Herzegovina, Belgium, Latvia, Israel, Scotland & Slovenia....:(

Why the nightmare group?
Netherlands - when was the last time they didnt quailfy for the Euro's
Spain - Best quailfying record of all european teams
Russia - Have quailfied for every euro championship
Albania - Very tough Away game
Macedonia - Ask Mick McCarthy
Azerbaijan - Back end of no where!

Personally I don't care who we get. Time and again in the past we've managed to get drawn in 'easy' groups and mess it up. On the other side of the coin 3 of 4 times we've actually qualified for something we did it thru 'the group of death'.

Actually now that I read that I DO care what we get! GIVE US A HARD DRAW!

It's great that everyone posts their Group wish lists. But we got a beauty of a draw last time round and look how that turned out. I would almost prefer if we would a really tough looking group like we did for qualifying for the 02 World Cup. At least then we could say we went out to good teams instead of the likes of Russia and Switzerland.

Like previous posters have said, why not go for the toughest draw imaginable? We've messed up our last two 'easy" draws and qualified for at least the play-offs from tough groups (Euro 2000, WC 2002). Give us trips to Amsterdam, Madrid, Kiev, Helsinki, Skopje and Vaduz I say!
