Hi,

As a cheap Christmas present I was thinking of making a CD compilation of some of the songs that are on ads on TV at the moment for some friends. There seems to be a roll of good songs. I have a couple mentioned below but can you help me think of any others? (I know some aren't on TV anymore but they're good songs)!!!

Killers - Mr Brightside (Lifestyle Sports)
Mic Christopher – Heyday (Guinness)
José González - Heartbeats (Sony Bravia)
Waterbabies - Under the tree (Vodafone)
Nina Simone - Ain't Got No - I Got Life (Muller)
Ceasers – Jerk It Out (Nivea or a cream like that)


Is there a duet with Al Green in an ad at the moment?
Love will tear us apart – Joy Division – Can you think of what ad that was in?
What a wonderful world – Is this in an ad at the moment too?

"Love will tear is apart" used to be on the Heineken ad with the bloke queuing for a beer in the stadium.

"What a wonderful world" - was on the Guinness ad from years ago, though I have a suspicion there is an advert on the mo using it also.

Re Al Green duet - it's possible that what you're thinking of is the duet he did with Annie Lennox 'Put a little Love in your heart/the world'...it was in the movie scrooged and I know i heard it recently. Although it coulda been Ray Darcy playing it...

There's a song on an add for tv's or something thats really good. There's loads of ping-pong balls in it. Dunno what is's called but its really cool

Whats the song on the champion sports add, its a girl singing over a drumbeat - words like "look real good, dont think I cant dsojas jadoij, gimmie gimmie, really gotta get some, gotta get some more of you......." there are lads playing basketball and lads playing soccer, kind o flike a copy of a nike add

If you look around on the boards there is about 3 or 4 threads where people are trying to find out what that song is.

Theres an ad I was wondering about aswell. Its a Sprite Zero ad, it has these people playing basketball but the court is water. Anyone know the song?

I quite like "K-OS - Lovesong", its the music from the Vodafone ad with the firefly who only lives for one day... It would be nicer as an instrumental but its still good.

Apparently the music was created by some anonymous band solely for that ad.
