Does anybody know if there are any plans for broadband in Gort, Co Galway. We are a neighbouring group who have LOS to Gort and woudl be interested in combining resources to get things going.
    :)

A couple of months ago, one of the helpful folk here at Ireland Offline pointed me in the direction of a list of towns/exchanges that were in the pipeline for upgrade. Can't seem to find that thread, so if that link could be posted again, it would be great.

Gort should have DSL sometime (or already ???? ) ring 1800503303 and they can tell you its position on the list. Top 10 on "the list" to be done will be this year, 10-50 by June and 50 onwards second half 2006

No, we've looked at these and all would need some intermediate relays. I am in touch with all the local GBS schemes. Gort is only about 8 miles away and I suspect good LOS to the Lady Gregory Hotel (if you know that)
