I posted a thread the other day about money woes and still want to remain anon so could the mods move this to BEF please.

Just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who replied. Realising that Im not alone, not in that bad a situation and that there IS a way out has really sorted out my head and made me activly work towards getting it sorted, not sitting on my arse whinging. I posted here because I hoped others would give me sound advice and offer some similar experiances, I expected to get flamed and probably given out to so I cannot express how much I appreciate the responses from each of you.

I have sat down and thought about things, done up a proper realistic budget which i plan to stick to and gone scouting for part time work. I should be able to pull in another 400 or so a month from what ive been offered and its easy work in the same line as my day job. Might get some bar work as well cos at least id still kindov be socialising and not drinkin/spending money as much. Ive spoken to the solicitors in charge of the main debt and they've agreed to reduce my payments till i get the credit card one sorted. Ive also made a backpayment on my overdue car loan and that should be back on track very soon. The holiday can wait, i'll just put aside 20 a week till i have enuf for a small break next year but at least its something to look forward to.

Thanks again to everyone, i really really appreciate the responses and sharing of your experiances. Also thanks to the mods and boards for the chance to get my thoughts out without people that know me realising im a financial eijit.

    Cheers folks :)
