easiest server game to get setup

    couple of us in work are winding down and reckon a little bit of kicking the life out of each other would be the ideal way to get into the christmas spirit.

    Looking for recommendations in the easiest multiplayer fps to get setup on a lan.

    Quake or Quake 3 probably

    Unreal Tournament 2004 is pretty darn simple aswell

    and of course Doom 1 & 2

    I don't understand.

    Surely setting up the Lan is the difficult part? Once the network is working why would the vast majority of games have any problems working?

    aye.
    the majority of fps games would just be the case of hosting a game on 1 pc and then joining from all others.
    you don't really have to worry about setting up a dedicated server or anything like that if there's only a few of you...

    give serious sam 2 a go on coop mode btw... great way to unwind after a hard day of work :D
