My mate is using a server and is connected but can't ping URL'S or IP address's. Anyone got idea's?

ICMP Ping is often filtered by routers and firewalls.

Yeh but it still doesn't let us ping. We tried running msconfig and still can ping, bloody confusing.

My pings at workstaions only resolve names to IPs
On my firewall server the pings actually work. Typically 10ms

They will never work on the LAN workstations. This is not a problem but "by design"

msconfig will only change your own PC settings. It won't make your broadband adaptor / or router allow pings.
