NTL free web space

    Got NTL recently and I want to make sue of my free web space. Anyone know what username and password it is that they want you to use to log into it? I don't think we were ever given any username and password. The guys just set the modem up and left. Looking at its config pages it doesn't need any username and password either.

    Do I just have to ring them up and request one ?

    they should have given it in the instal, if not call them !

    they came, they gave me a paper with user/pass. but it fails miserably to log on. every time i call, they find some way to tell me it should be working.

    woeful.

    Hi

    If they give you an e-mail address alias@ntlworld.ie that should be the same as for your website ftp user id without the @ntlworld.ie and the password the same as they give you.

    The url for your webpage will be in the format

    http://homepage.ntlworld.ie/alias


    to change the alias part you can go to http://www.ntlworld.ie/my_account/email.asp and click on "You can change your username at any time" when you change it it'll change your e-mail address to changedalias@ntlworld.ie and you web space address to http://homepage.ntlworld.ie/changedalias

    I think if you change the alias you will need to upload your website again with the new user ID.

    You can also change the alias, password, add new e-mail addresses from the http://www.ntlworld.com

    You can test your password on http://www.ntlworld.ie/index.asp the left hand side.
