    I am looking to get broadband but cant seem to get a good deal that suits me.

    I am living in Goatstown in Dublin and I have a phone line, that the house mates want to get rid of in January. So if I want to keep it I am forced to pay the full line rental myself after January and the only reason why I am considering kepeing the line is for broadband access.

    So If I want to get DSL I have to pay the 24 euro rental myself + 30 euro for broadband. Ouch 50+ euro per month.

    Also I am looking to get a 6 month contract or less as I am likely to be moving house in the next couple of months.

    Also NTL is not available in my area.

    I would be happy with a 1Mb connection. What do you recommend I go for?

    Off the top of my head

    Metro
    IBB (mighn't be a good idea!)
    Unbundled ESAT line.
    Cheaper Digiweb wireless.

    not sure about the length of contracts for the above.
