Just a few questions about the pill.
To star going on the pill, do you just have to go into a doctors (or does it have to be your own doctor) and say you want to start taking a contraceptive pill?

To come back off it, do you simply just stop taking the tablet?

Is there weight gain with every type of pill or does this depend on your own DNA or whatever?

    Cheers in advance everyone

    http://www.ifpa.ie/contraception/cp.html

The oral contraceptive pill must be prescribed by a dr who will assess your suitibilty for it. Ideally you should go to you own dr if you you can go to
the ifpa or the well woman centre but if you do make sure to inform your
gp when they are prescribing other meds for you.

There are several differnt types of oral contraceptive pill each is a differnt
chemical combination which has slightly differing side effects, it may take a while
to find one that suits you best.

The oral contraceptive pill is taken for 3 weeks and then you stop taking it for
the 4 th weeks and you have a period. You should not stop the pill mid packet
but finish it out to the end and then stop taking it.

Read the above link and talk to your dr and read the leaflet inside any precribtion or of you have a friend who is alread on it as to read the leaflet in thiers.
