Well while you have an engineer ask him if he knows anything about the move to UPC and upgrades. And how the coverage is looking. The engineers seem to be the only people who know what's going on at ground level.

Can you get NTL cable? If so I would think BB is on the way.

Different company now, this letter is about NTL:UK, NTL:Ireland is now actually owned by Liberty Global and will soon be rebranded as UPC Ireland (along with Chorus who Liberty also own).

My experience of NTL:Ireland was excellent, they arrived as scheduled, had all the gear, knew exactly what to do, all done in 1 hour (it was a lot of work as 3 Digi boxes were also installed and new points up stairs for them all).

Yum Yum, I got my 3MB installed Last night. He was meant to come between 1 and 6, He came 7:30... atleast he came anyway, I was happy.

    NTL + 3MB = Sweetness In a cable.

    Very happy so far,

    Hj

    Very happy so far,

Do you have a landline? Port your number to Blueface and it makes the 3 mb even sweeter!

I've just signed up for Blueface! Does it take long?:D Bit confused about this porting lark and when I should advise Eircom to disconnect my line.

    Hi Freddie,

Blueface recommend you wait about a month to make sure yr happy with the service b4 asking to port.
They will send form when you ask and all being well it will take about 6 weeks to port. AFTER the port is done (Blueface will let you know), you can cancel the line. In my case Eircon did it anyway.

    Enjoy the ride!

Good stuff! Thanks Amby. I had to contact them as the €99 package doesn't take in UK calls, but their support so far has been excellent.:D

i was a while with blueface prepaid before ditching eircom.

once i managed to convince my flatmates, we go monthly blueface with a new sexy phone number, and now fax.

we weren't really getting calls from many people on the eircom number, so we had a divorce with eircom the whole lot. didn't bother to port at all.

so sexy and cute together... ntl n blueface... like a married pornstars couple...

    :D

If you are with BT/UTV Eircon reseller make sure to go back to eircon now. Otherwise it is a long irritating process as eircon do their best to delay it.

Thanks for that Paulm. I must say that the Blueface customer service is excellent. A prompt response to all enquiries. Very refreshing.

I had a very hard time porting my number because I was with BT. Blueface support were excellent but if I had given up and gone back to Eircon from the start it would have been ALOT quicker.
