Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,
I have to reduce a 350x248 mpg from 50mb to something that is easily emailable, say 1.5/2mb.

Anyone any recommendations on what FREE easy to use software to use for this?

    Tnx

No, it'll encode to Divx. So it'll need something play it.

Why not download the trial of Flash 8 and import the clip into it, scale it down a little, lower the framerate a tad and you'll have a greatly, greatly reduced file that if exported to the flash projector format (.exe) can be played on anyones computer. That's the method I used when I designed a site that had a LOT of trailers yet needed to be accesible to those with 56k modems..

How about using Windows Moviemaker and saving it as a WMV.

Movie Maker is rubbish, that's why!

Very helpful, thought you`d know better than that, John, the man wants to email a video clip and if Wmv is suitable then he could`nt do much better than Moviemaker in terms of ease of use and reasonable quality at high compression.
