Greetings denziens of Cork, I have a question.

Does anyone know if you can still get Spiced Beef (special Cork Christmas dinner food for those who don't know) in the English Market?

I really want some for a Christmas Dinner in Galway, but I'd like to be sure it's still available before I go through all the trauma of getting it sent up here.

    Thanks in advance,
    fozzle

Not sure about the Old English Market, but if you have a SuperQuinn near you in Galway, they're selling it at the mo - well at least they are here in Limerick.

Yep fozzle, all over the English Market, also available in O'Donovan's on Prince's St and in Dunnes Stores in Cork (maybe Galway too?).

English market has everything! You will find your spiced beef there. "The meat centre" in the english market is the butcher we always go to and he had them every other year

I just saw it in Dunnes Stores on North Main Street yesterday, and I've also seen it in Tesco and in the stall in the market near the Olive stall. It's pretty common.

Didn't realise that it was a Cork thing though. I love it. I used to get it in the Main rest in UCC when they did Christmas dinners
