There seem to be some people marching out-of-step in the Workers Paradise, as I see Castro, et al, have not given permission for a group of ladies to travel to France to receive an European Parliament award.

"A group of Cuban women say they have been barred by their government from travelling to Europe to collect a prestigious human rights award.

The group, known as the Ladies in White, are joint winners of this year's Sakharov prize for freedom of thought.

For the last two years the women, who are relatives of jailed dissidents, have staged a weekly protest march.

They have been invited to Strasbourg by the European Parliament to receive the award, to be presented on Wednesday."

Dissention may or may not be high and for the purposes of my post which it is doesn't matter. The guy's a dictator for life. I'd be rather surprised if there wasn't repression in action in the, er, socialist paradise. Castro's a bit of a narky hoore and doesn't think twice about holding back on freedom and imprisoning people on a semi-whim and making them disappear if he feels like it. This news to anyone? Didn't think so.

Disappointed with your added views Tom as it doesn't appear to contain any. Quick rectification of that might be in order though I'm assuming that like the rest of the world except for Castro and his minions you think this decision from Castro is a bad thing.
