Another 'Help me buy a car' thread

Hi all,

I have 15k to spend plus a 99 Alfa 156 to trade in (so somewhere between 18k and 19k). I'd really like a Saab 9-3, but it is a few grand above budget. The car would have to be '02 or above with less than 50,000 miles and at least 120bhp.

Any ideas??

Regards the SAAB 9-3, my brother had a 2003 9-3 (2.0 T Aero estate) from new and it developed some major problems. The engine leaked oil heavily, the shocks needed replacing after a year and a half, the steering was never right and the turbo needed replacing after 2 years. These SAABS are just Vauxhall/Opels in drag so be careful you check them thoroughly should you go for one.

Draffodx, I was looking for the new shape, which coss a bit more as they are only available from '03 (or very late '02)

I was looking possibly at a Mazda6, with a spoiler and alloys they can look good...
