Weird prob

I have NTL broadband installed and it works perfectly with my laptop connected, however when i connect it to my pc it doesnt work, do NTL use some sort of mac address capture to stop you using more than one pc??

I don't have NTL but this has come up before.
You need to turn off the modem, connect it to the new PC then switch back on and boot the PC, I think.
