I'm in major agreement with you, Mike. When it comes to cheese, forget about the 90s - or even the 70s. 80s all the way.
Some more magnificent specimens: Falco - Rock Me Amadeus, Baltimora - Tarzan Boy (even had its own thread a few weeks ago).

It's gotta be fantastic tack from the eighties all the way, like "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler, "Africa" by Toto and the like. Also The Spice Girls and Girls Aloud are just plain class. :D

Have to say always liked 'The Look' by Roxette and funnily enough 'The Look' by Prince aswell, I suppose both of them pretty cheesy, 'Big love' by Fleetwood Mac's pretty good too, 'Only when I sleep' by the Corrs

Heaven is a place on earth - Belinda Carlisle
    Uptown girl - Billy Joel
Go your own way - Fleetwood Mac
Pretty much every song made between Dec 1979 and Jan 1990

My music collection is chock-full of embarrassing cheesy rubbish, but that's 'cos I'm a DJ. I don't actually listen to most of it! (honest!)

    Some real classics:

Engelbert Humperdinck - Please Release Me
Stevie Wonder - Isn't She Lovely?
    Phyllis Nelson - Move Closer
T'Pau - China In Your Hand
    N'Sync This I Promise You
Bellamy Brothers - Let Your Love Flow
Brotherhood of Man - Save All Your Kisses for Me
Bucks Fizz - Making Your Mind Up
    Tiffany - I Think We're Alone Now

I could go on, but I'd be typing all night...!

I think he was meant to re-release around the time that Peter Andre released Mysterious Girl, I guess it didn't get to that stage. :)

Anyway, heres some other beauties that i hate myself for loving -

    50 cent - candy shop
    Ashlee Simpson - lala
Kelly Clarkson -Since you've been gone
Britney Spears - Oops i did it again
    Limp Bizkit - Rollin
    My Chemical Romance - Helena
TATU - Not gonna get us

I feel a deep sense of shame reading back over that list.

    Has to be

    Dune - Can't stop Ravin'
    Dune - Hardcore Vibes
    Mark McCabe - Maniac 2000
    Nena - 99 Red Baloons
Bryan Adams - Everything I do

There the cheeziest songs that I like but I still love them all and I'm often caught singing them to meself when heavily intoxicated.

99 Red Balloons is an absolute cheese classic - nay, just a classic full stop! Although I can't forgive you for including Maniac 2000 - it's just sh*t in all senses - even by cheese standards. However the original, used on the Flashdance soundtrack - splendid stuff!
Big in Japan by Alphaville is another cracker.
As is Self Control by Laura Branigan.
Lots of stuff by Nik Kershaw and Howard Jones was class too.

Ah, the 80s. It gave us so much brilliant naff pop - what's not to like?

"99 Red Balloons"! This really is my kind of thread. My friend and I request that everywhere we go!

No. No you should not. Some cheese can go mouldy - that, along with Maniac 2000, is an example.

Sarah Brightman & Hot Gossip - I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trooper

    Driver 67- Car 67

    Mike.

That's more like it. I want quality tunes - not your Stars on 45 rubbish. And the video to I Lost My Heart... - brilliant!

    Stevie Wonder- Isn't She Lovely
    Christopher Cross- Arthurs Song
Simply Red- Holdin' Back the Years
    Lionel Richie- hello
    Phil Collins- One More Night
S Club 7- Never Had a Dream Come True :o
Take That- A Million Love Songs

    ....enough cheese for now

PS That Maniac 2000 song is an embarassmant even to cheese

99 luftballoons beats the engish version.

Wait.. *tries to hide his shame*

    Well, while I'm at it..

Summer of 69 - Bryan Adams
Living on a Prayer - Bon Jovi

Alright, I must go listen to metal for a while to get the cheese out of my head.

Oh God, there are so many!

The first that spring to mind are all fairly old

    Richard Marx: Hazard
    Jane Wiedlin: Rush Hour
    Army of Lovers: Crucified
    Pepsi & Shirlie: Heartache
    Dr. Hook: Sylvia's Mother
    Spice Girls: Mama & 2 Become 1 :o

    I'm sure I'll think of more :)

I admit it. I'm addicted to 70's Funk.
Average White Band, James Brown, Marvin Gaye ...and recently discovered that I LOVE the Temptations!

Also, whoever said they like Hansen - MmmBop?
I keep it on my computer to drive my hubby crazy, but yes, I secretly LOVE Hansen too!:p (OMG that is truely emberassing!)

TBH I have nothing against the following artists, but I know that they're widely regarded by others as having little musical integrity (and some of 'em are just...girly :D):

Katie Melua - Nine million bicycles
    The Libertines/Pete Doherty stuff
Faye Wong (you know the song, among others)
    My Chemical Romance
Seal - Kiss From A Rose, heh.
    Cheesy power metal

Meh, that's about all. Everything else I listen to is pretty respectable :)

Always had a soft spot for Boney M - Rasputin

Maniac2000, (god I love that song)
    Ain't No Other Man-Christina A. (O god I'm so ashamed!)
