    What is the best option for transferring money from a US account to an Irish account? wire tranfser or lodge a dollar cheque?

    Also is there a limit on each lodgement i.e. notification of revenue?

    im not sure of the legal requirement, but id say anything over 10k may interest reveue.

    Best way to do the transfer is through www.xe.com

    Pain in the ar$e to setup, but they offer good rates.

    If you want a person from Ireland to receive in 15 minutes dolars/euro from you there's Western Union -Money transfer.

    Dollar Cheques are grand - no aditional fees and its the easiest to do...
