I am rather unimaginative with the names for my computers.
    [BB Modem] router.local
    [WiFi Router/Switch] switch.local
    [Main PC] computer-1 (nicknamed Frankenstein)
    [Dead PC] computer-2
    [Laptop] computer-3
    [Uncles PC] computer-4
    [Uncles Laptop] computer-5
    WiFi SSID: <not available>

This seems to be a yearly topic:

Mine are all named after Heather Nova albums - Storm, South, Siren, Oyster, GlowStars, Blow. Unfortuately Heather Nova has less (studio) albums than I have computers, so there's also "Laptop" and "Obi-Lan" and the router is called "Obi-Wan" :D.

It was getting a bit ridiculous, things now stand as:
    Frequently Used:
    Storm - Main development machine
    Oyster - database server
    Glowstars - games machine
Redbird - New Laptop and new Heather Nova album :)
    Obi-Wan - Router

Infrequently Used / propably time to part :(
Laptop - called dazberry not "laptop" as above
    Blow - test environment
Obi-Lan - webserver and spam collector

    Sold or given away
    South - gone
    Siren - gone

... and this naming convention is useless as I still get confused between blow and glowstars all the time.
