At the moment I'm cutting a 21st video and was wondering - what are some good tunes for a 21 year old girl.

I have a load of brilliant stuff but am afraid that it might be too leftfield for the girl whose birthday it was. I do not know her and have no idea of her musical taste.

    Any suggestions?

I'm so out of touch with what the kids are into.

Stick a bit of Slayer on it. :)

    Tetris music?
If you dont know her and have no idea of what her musical taste is, start by describing what she is like, and then possibly ponder what music she might like. Beware, you might get it wrong and she'll hate you for the rest of your respective lives.

    What's she like?

She's rich. Or at least her Da is.

That's all I know. I have never and probably will never meet the girl.

So far what I have put aside to try over it is:

Move On Up - Curtis Mayfield
Goldfrapp - Strict Machine & Ohh La La
LCD Soundsystem - Daft Punk is playing at my house
    Arcade Fire - Wake Up
    Outkast - Hey Ya
Postal Service - Such Great Heights
    Ella Fitzgerald - Fever

A bit of Girls Aloud, Kelly Clarkson, Charlotte Church (Call my name haha), some keiser Chiefs.

    Hope that helps!!

Just as a point of principle I'm not using any of those. I would sooner just lose this job. Seriously.

    Thanks for the help though.

Cant go wrong with Move On Up... what a great tune

    Ella fitzgerald.... check
    Outkast.... is a check too

Goldfrapp might not be bad... dont know that song, but as long as its not too whiney... it'll be ok

but i'd leave out Arcade Fire, Postal Service and LCD Soundsystem if you're not sure she'll like it

Maybe stick on a bit of the old aforementioned Daft Punk - 'One More Time'
