Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah it looks that way, I can't see the point of SeaGate forking out that much money to buy Maxtor though.

I hope this isn't the start of a trend, competition in the HD industry has led to much bigger disks at cheaper prices.

Nah, too many companies in the sector. At a guess Seagate took the opportunity to expand their manufacturing capability cheap and fast.

    Same here!!!

Well it looks like Maxtor will no longer be my choice if they decide to increase their prices to match seagates models/discontinue Maxtor production!

Who knows, maybe they might keep the Maxtor brand as a cheapo brand, much like Cisco did when they bought Linksys.
