Lads got BF2 there as an xmas gift...can ya give me some tips?

I'm a noob starting off and it's a lot more complicated than your average fps. Any tips would be grateful I suppose. I have the latest patch. Any recommended downloads or anything for it?

Cheesy jump on teamspeak with one of the clans and we will introduce you to the game. There are a few clans around here, TiG's Teamspeak public channel is games3.iol.ie:8787. Jump on introduce yourself to the guys and they'll help you out.
