Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yet another stupid sending off decision by a power-mad referee. Danny murphy gone, for bouncing a ball. Goalkeepers watch out.

Chelsea lineup looks way too attacking. Not suprised they've conceded 2.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Right now their formation looks like this:

    Cech
    ---Terry-Gallas-Ferreira

    Makelele

    Lampard-Gudjohnson--
    Cole
    Robben
    Crespo-Drogba

That means Lampard shouldn't score, cause he never scores when Gudjohnson plays.
Hopefully, I think the best we can hope for is a 3-3 draw I think, with Charlton catching one on the break against 3 defenders, and Chelsea nicking one back.
    I'm praying here!

Some places giving it as a Given OG but tbh the goal is crouches from the impartial commitee :)

United were ****e for about 20 minutes, but then really turned it on.
Scholes goal was a beautiful strike with his left foot, and Rio's header was quality.

Kinda a dull game so far, Ruud showing showing off some serious tricks, you'll see em on Soccer AM without a doubt, especially one really slick drag of the ball.

I'm watching this with perfect quality with no stoppage, its great, execpt for the commentary

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,147 ✭✭✭Ronan|Raven

Yup, I see most games but not over the net, tbh commentary doesnt concern me I prefer listening to the really OTT spanish commentators!

    Headed assist by Crouch :)

i didnt see his first but his second yellow was defintelyt a yellow. every player in the world knows that if you throw the ball down like that you run the risk of a yellow.

its harsh that he goes for that but it was a yellow.

Lee Bowyer sent off for thugish behaviour, Crouch gets a yellow. Finnan is lucky.

bowyer was unlucky "to be the only one sent off"* edit (reputation) crouch, gerrard and alonso all should have went too....the referee copped out....disgracefull

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,346 ✭✭✭✭homerjay2005

smudger on the field for 90 seconds, sets up van nistelrooy for number 3. i know wba are poor, but with 4 past wigan and 3 today, it at least shows an improvement for these type of fixtures were we threw away about 15 points last season because of poor finishing, city down 4-1 now, unreal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,304 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

2-0 now to blackburn, looking good for a second win this week at the riverside, kuqi with both

Newcastle were very very tame. Really dominated by Liverpool. I missed both bloody goals! Anyone able to upload them... ? ;)

You mean crouch should of went for pushing bowyer in the chest? Gerrard should of went for pushing shearer in a scuffle? Alonso should of went for being fouled?. You failed to mention the other 10-15 players involved in the pushing, coincidence? maybe :D.

crouch for raising his hands to another player - alonso for jumping in at the tackle - wasnt going for the ball - gerrard pushed shearer and raised his hands into bowyers face...

i have no ties to any of these clubs, just feel to send bowyer off for what he done you cant stop there, have to punish the others...

or else give him a yellow - which is all he deserved really

You must be joking ? Alonso went for the ball. Crouch and Gerrard were just reacting to the scuffle. Yellows at the very most.

i think you should look at that alonso tackle again, yellows all around for everyone inclusing bowyer would have been the fair and just outcome.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,589 ✭✭✭✭Necronomicon

Bowyer's tackle was bad but not sending off imo, but there did seem to be a bit of intent which probably swung it. A yellow should have been given to Alonso for the tackle on N'Zogbia that started the melee. Crouch could've gone for shoving Bowyer to the ground too.
I thought the sending off at the Valley was ridiculous too. Having said that though, Danny Murphy is a fool for doing it.
Apparently Baros used a blatant hand in his goal but I turned it on too late, what happened?
