mains disconnection relay

    Hi
    As somebody hypersensitive to electromagnetic fields I am trying to find ways to decrease these in the home, esp electrical fields. I have found something on the Internet called a mains disconnection relay that can be installed in the fusebox for this purpose. I was wondering if anybody has experience of these, or alternatively if it would be a safe practice to switch some of the fuses/circuit breakers? ( the things that automatically switch off if you plug in faulty equipment that blows a fuse, and that you then have to switch to on again to restore electricity supply to the affected area) on the fuse board to off on a long term basis as this reduces the measured levels of electricity and I can get by without using some of the sockets, lights etc. in the house. Any ideas appreciated.

    you might be as well off just turning off the 'rcd' that disconnects all the sockets. after that you're down to lights smoke alarms showers etc.a relay or contactor would isolate some circuits if fitted properly.meat counters and workshops have stop buttons that isolate areas for emergencies.

    have you had an engineer test your house and advise you .i know little about this(i'm a sparkie btw) but apparently the bedroom is the most important place to test and there are products like these available to isolate circuits

    but an electrician would be better advised by a specialist regarding installation.circuits like lighting can be isolated automatically(with the automatic demand switch) whereas socket circuits can use an rf remote or a manual push and a standard contactor/relay.also you can shield sources of emf like a fusebox by changing it to an earthed metal enclosure.i don't know if there are screened cables for domestic wiring but these would reduce electric and electromagnetic fields in an installation
