Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

can you specify the cards in use?
main reasons for this is - signal or encryption

signal-have you gone too far?or obstructed the path too much? (Or interference: are there any other networks,or cordless phones near the laptop that may be overpowering... run NetStumbler or change the channel if you can)
encryption- easily tested-remove encryption and test

also: can you still ping the computers,even if web access drops..?

Theres no cards in use.....................the computer is connected to the router via an etherent cable, and the laptop has Centrino Mobile technology.

Accordijng to the icon in the taskbar, the Signal Strenght = Very Good.

I'm only upstairs in the room above the PC.
No other netwroks or cordless phones.

Emmmm, how do I remove encryption?
You mean remove firewall? Already tried it.

Ping the computers?

Encryption = WPA or WEP.
Remove the 'request for a password' and try.

Testing should be performed in the same room -then move upstairs->this will be an indication of whether it's a radio issue.

Ping = Start -> run -> cmd (Opens a command prompt)
In there: ping IPAddressoftheothermachine
Then paste the result here.

Ping statistrics for ipaddressofothermachine:
Packets: Sent=4, Received=4, Lost=4 (0%Lost),
Approximate round trip timkes in milliseconds:
Minimum=14ms, Maximum=19ms, Average=16ms

Thats the ping from the same room, should I get one from upstairs as well?
