if you ever have a patching problem

    there is a workaround

    run through the installer and when you get to the point where it says click next to install the patch...
    go to your temp folder, look at the most recent folder, there should be a weird named file and another folder. copy the contents of that folder to your bf2 directory and run the patch exe file.


    Every time theres a new patch i see the same questions and problems appearing, this workaround has worked for me on every patch so far with no problems.....

    Except that it doesn't work exactly like that for the 1.12 patch as not all of the files are in the temp folder (afaik). there is one large file which is extracted to a different dir.
