Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Spurs vs Newcastle looks a great game.

    I'd just favour Spurs.

    I'd just favour Spurs.

I am not confident at all.

King is out for up to four weeks, so Snoop Gardner will probably play in his place. Snoop vs. Owen...:(

I'm just hoping Defoe starts, cos he could cause the Barcodes defence some real problems.

Gonna be a good few goals in the Spurs Newcastle game I reckon.

I'd fancy Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd to win, though Bolton will make it difficult for Manyoo.

I'm hoping the Villa can pull of a shock, it really depends if Mellberg comes back in time, news reports today reckon he might just make it.

I reckon Sunderland could get a win too.

Likely wins for MU, Arsenal, Liverpool and ChelC.
Portsmouth v Fulham. Fulham's shower of goals may come to an end here
Wigan v Blackburn. Hopefully 0-0 for my Fantasy Football team

Will be at Anfield tomorrow to hopefully see the pool beat a resurgent West Brom hot on the heels of their humping of spurs. I think we should be too strong for them and can also see wins for Charlton, Arsenal, Chelsea Man U, City, Fulham Everton, Spurs and Wigan.

I'm hoping Blackburn's extra few days rest, and the fact MGP should be chomping on the bit after being rested on Monday, will be enough for Blackburn to beat Wigan. The form that Wigan are in though, I'd definitely settle for a point.

Hopefully Bellamy will be back too after his run out against Boro on Monday.

Baros misses a chance in the exact same spot as Flamini did in the first half. Identical chances, identically wasted.

Ljungberg hit the bar with a screamer!

Doing well enough, 0-0 be a fair result, or 1-0 Villa. But I can't help feeling that every time Arsenal go forward they are going to score!

    Has Henry ran yet?

Baros showing what a clinical finisher he is. :)

Villa's crossing seems to be their major downfall thus far, too deep most of the time, or failing to beat the first man (especially from corners and long throws).

Listening to reports from the Villa Arsenal game I'm glad we got rid of Baros.

He's not doing great but he hasn't been bad. Villa laying siege to the Arsenal goal for the past 10 minutes.

Jesus, everyone is so confident about United winning, I'm nowhere near as sure.
I expect us to be in the driving seat, but Bolton are always a tricky tie.

    p.s.
    Watching Villa vs. Arsenal
    The finishing is absolutely woeful.
Baros is having a fantastic game, except for his finishing :)

    United Line-up:

    VDS

    Neville-Ferdinand-Slyvestre-Richardson

    Ronaldo - Fletcher - O'Shea - Giggs

    Saha - Rooney

Villa weren't poor today mike65, infact all the commentators agree that Villa deserved a win, even Frank (an Arsenal fan) on Soccer Saturday said if it was a boxing match Villa would win it on points.

Baros had a very good game except for the one real chance he got. If Villa keep playing like that they will ease to a mid table finish. Villa have only 1 defeat in 7 now!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

I understood that Baros ran offside about 6 or 8 times (Cisse style)! Still I was relying on radio reports.

    Mike.

Watched it on PPLive, ESPN China. Villa played well. They're certainly performing a bit better now, Baros had a good game running the lines again. Milners crossing was sub-standard, but he's normally great so can't hold that against him. Even the BBC reports say Villa were much more deserving of a victory.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,951 ✭✭✭✭Villain

Oh he did in the first half but that was more to do with Arsenal holding their line so well.

Arsenal really don't like when you get at them, Villa were well up it and got stuck in, Henry was very quite considering we had Ridgewell and Delaney at the heart of our defence.

Also Davis really is doing well now, I just hope we can hold onto him.

So newcastle lose again, how long will Souness get??

After seeing the team, I'm not as sure as I was. Whats the story with RVN being dropped? Is he injured? If not, wtf is fergie doing breaking up such a potent partnership? Saha is'nt fit to clean RVN boots imo.

    **** yeah, booyeah!

Some great crosses coming in from the left, and an unfortunate OG.

Saha is quite good imo, and Ruud needs a rest, has played pretty much non stop for ages, and you could see it coming through at the end of matches lately.
And its paid off so far :)

It has now been confirmed that he has a broken toe. Expected to be sidelined for up to 2 months. There are also concerns over Shay Given, he may have a suspected broken finger.

Sky Sports just said 2 to 3 months it is a broken metatarsal, Souness has said it is a very dark day for the club!!!
