Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi everybody

    I am very new to the modem and hope that I am not asking stupid question.

    I have two netopia wireless modems connected in my house. I can work both seperately in different rooms. However when I switch on both neither work. I would like to work the two together,is this possible with the equipment that I have got ,can I use one as a repeater???

    Appreciate any help

    :confused::confused:

    I'm not sure if you can use one as a repeater, though you should be able to, I think there's some way of using it as a wireless bridge.

    You should definitely be able to use the 2 seperately though, providing you ensure that they're on different channels.

    Thanks Badrobot for the reply

    Do you know any web sites that show how to use two wireless modems on the same broadband line butin different parts of my home? I am basically trying to improve my home hotspot coverage.:rolleyes:

    I'm not 100% sure on if you can use the router as a wireless repeater. Some routers have wireless repeater advertised as a feature, but I never saw this on the Netopia that I own, a 3347NWG.

    If you go into the Netopia settings, then click wireless, you can activate wireless bridging, which may do the job. Alternatively, you can buy dedicated wireless repeaters on eBay for about €40.

    Badrobot thanks for your help.

    I have managed to get the issue sorted, my work IT guys gave me the solution. Its simply to run Lan from on of the ports of the wifi units to a port in the other wifi unit. Then the second wifi unit simply broadcasts the port number enabling any laptop in range to connect. easy solution and it works perfectly. I now have total wireless coverage through out my home. :):):)
