Best deal on a HDMI TV???

    Best I've found so far is a Sharp LC26P50E at around 1K

    can anyone advise anything cheaper??

    DID had that tv on sale for 600 last week.
    I dont think it is real HD TV.

    Looks like you're right. Elsewhere it just says it's Hd Compatable.

    It has a HDMI connection along with two scarts, s-video and component. It's not true HD though.

    It's 0.5 HD:
    AQUOS new optimum panel for PAL/SECAM is designed with 540 vertical dots. This number means exactly 1/2 of the 1080i high-definition signal and exactly 3/4 of the 720p high-definition signal, thus resulting in crystal-clear picture reproduction from a simple algorithm.

    I got one in that sale and for the money it's a lovely screen.
