Vitamin C powder substitute for breadmaker

I am finding it increasingly difficult to obtain this product locally. It is needed to interact with the other ingredients in the breadmaker. Is there any substitute for Vit.C powder?

I'm not sure, but vit C powder is usually available from any chemist.

Ascorbic acid is what you want.
Vit C powder by a different name.

You get big 1g pills in holland & barret, very easily crushed, think there sale is on now.
