Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

First EC of 2006 with Oisin Murphy & Daniel McElligot

    First up this week is newcomer to Electric City, Daniel McElligot. Dan has
    been playing for two years, mainly playing minimal techno and some electro
    and nearly anything that comes from Germany. A former Irish international
    basketball player, he then started listening to techno and in his own words
    "am now **** at basketball and don't play for our country no more". There is
    hope for all of us in that sentiment.

    His fave label at the moment is Sender with a special penchant for the
    mighty Misc. Other labels he like to play with include Poker Flat, Nummer,
    Border Community, Bpitch Control and Kompact.. He is only 18 so went to a
    lot of Electric Citys last year with fake ids - the little scamp. The
    authorities have been notified and Daniel is soon to be deported back to his
    place of origin in the remote location of Swords.

    Finishing off the night with his first closing set we have regular EC guest
    & birthday boy Oisin Murphy. On his previous visits to the club Oisin has
    always played some wicked deep electro but this time he has promised to
    treat us to a techno set along with some gigolo-esque electro, that's
    providing he is still standing by the time he reaches the turntables.

    good minimal techno mix here of his HERE, with stuff from Ellen Allien, Misc, Johannes Heil etc. on it

    i've 6 exams ending on the 23rd.... gonna be a long january! finished just in time for speedy j and yourself anyway for the post-exam celebrations!
