Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Leon Knight and Mark McGhee Bust-Up at Brighton

Just been watching Sky News and this sounds interesting, if its true that is. Apparently the Brighton manager and star striker had a bust-up which resulted in McGhee instructing the coach driver to pull up at a country lane, where he then preceeded to tell Knight to get off the bus.

Only a few other players managed to stop McGhee chucking the player off the team bus. According to Sky, its in one of the papers today. Can't find any reports on the net though.

There must be some truth in it or I can't imagine they'd read it out on live TV, with all the libel laws floating around today.

Was reading this in the paper. Seemily he done this before when he threw Mark McCammon off the bus and he had to get the train home:eek:

Knight has put in transfer request and wants to be gone. The 2 of them have been fighting all season.

Its supposed to be have been a row over Knight not agreeing with McGhee dropping the 'keeper.

Knight was already dropped for a good few weeks earlier this season from another fall out with McGhee. The 2 of them don't get on at all. Would say it doesn't take much to get the two of them going at each other

Had already put in transfer request before this game. All the better with them falling out because it means that Shef Wed can stay above them

    Terrible news :/

Knight is really needed, so we can stay in the championship until the new stadium is built

Jason Byrne said at the time of initial speculation that there's no way he'd want to go somewhere like Brighton. Having since turned down Djurgardens, I'd be optimistic about him not going :)

No, really, we don't. He's a disruptive influence on the rest of the team, and he's always been a bad tempered little brat. 23 goals in the promotion season or not, he's not worth it.

Emphasise the little there, as he's also a damn sight too short when playing certain opposition.

Being able to dispose of him instead of Virgo at the start of the season would have been ideal.

    Oh, and he's gone http://www.swanseacity.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/LatestNewsDetail/0,,10354~764193,00.html?ptvParm=

Can't afford to loose a player of that quality, especially while struggling in the league.
Hopefully McShane can make a comeback and sure up the defense.
Then maybe we could get somebody decent on loan :/

We have McShane till the end of the seasons

Looks like we'll be buying/signing Neil Shipperley, or at least theres a lot of rumours to that effect.

Swansea have signed striker Leon Knight from Brighton for £125,000.

The 23-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the promotion-chasing League One club after passing a medical at the Liberty Stadium.

The former Chelsea and England Under-20 frontman, who handed in a transfer request last month, was omitted from the Seagulls' 16-man squad for Monday's defeat at Southampton after an apparent disagreement with manager Mark McGhee over team selection.

Swans boss Kenny Jackett told the club's official website: "Leon is an exceptionally talented forward whose goal-scoring ability will be a huge asset to the squad."

And it appears we've signed Wayne Henderson permanently now, although a goalie should be the least thing to worry about right now...

Thought it was on loan for rest of season? because Villa just let Postma go so short on cover after Sorenson and taylor

Maybe wrong but I read loan for season somewhere:D

There was an attempt to get his loan extended for the season, but a fee has been agreed (£30,000) with Villa and its now down to Henderson to agree personal terms.

Good move for Henderson, he is a good goalkeeper and they rate him very highly down at Brighton from what I have heard. Means he will be getting first team football hopefully this season and next. Well as long as Brighton dont stay up and Shef Wed go down;)

Knight scored a first half hat-trick for Swansea tonight, the three goals coming in the space of around 22 minutes.
