Accessing recovery mode on Creative players

I asked this Q in the old Gadgets forum, but seeing as there's now a dedicated area for mp3 players (etc), I'll share the wisdom I found here:
Very simple really -- find your Creative player, then follow the instructions to access recovery mode. I found that performing a disk scan, followed by a reboot solved my problem of a fvcked-up menu.
Hope you never need to use this!

Had to use this recently when my cousin dropped his zen. Did no use though. After some research i found out that a short sharp whack was the answer to the problem. Worked a charm :)
