Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

One of the best shows on TV at the momemt IMO. Best bit from the first episode last night was when Kev was in the phonebox having a hand shandy and the old lady out walking her dog bangs on the window and says "There's poor little kids dying in the world and all you can do is that??" and then walks off. Absolutely priceless :D

Is the oldest sister and her fella gonna come back into it.

I watched it and next weeks on E4, its deadly that Tuesdays are great again. Also its good that everything is starting to get back to normal after Christmas.

A brilliant show but last nights episode wasn't up to scratch imo but its still better than being subjected to a night of desperate houswives!

I read something about Shane McGowan being in celeb BB. Hard to believe but if true Ill watch it for the first time for pure comical reasons.
Oh yeah... this is about Shameless. The best series of the last few years by far. Recorded it but have yet to watch it.

This show is awesome to the max! It's absolute gold-dust, some great dialogue and great characters. Kev's constant bishop-bopping (especially in the phone-box :D ) had me in stitches. That and his dodgy car! I'm gonna do my best to watch the entire series. I'm a terror for not seeing full series' of shows (ususally not my fault, there's always something else that needs a-doing).

Yeah enjoyed this immensely too, but have to say I felt fiona's absence left a certain something missing (and I don't mean just her), but still comedic genius...I rarely laugh out loud whilst sitting watching TV on my own, but I burst into fits several times, kev's car falling apart, and then him getting the seller on the mobile whilst out badger baiting was a complete cracker.

It was merely a bonus that it took the same slot as DH on network 2...hopefully it stays that way...

Unlikely, Both actors film careers are taking off, and while perhaps a cameo could occur a return seems unlikely.

The series is slipping, I thought the second series was less sharp than the first, and frankly the editing of the first episode of this one was just shoddy and loose. The direction of the series is lost, Steve and Fiona were the heart of the show, and without them the series is rudderless. Kev and Veronica are painted with too broad strokes and are supporting characters, Frank and Shelia are an assembly of weird tics and aren't really leads, and Lip, et all are just too young, if they become the series focus it'll just be grange hill with swearing, shagging and drugs.

I really like shameless. Really. Bar Doctor Who best british thing on the telly, but it's kind of played itself into a corner, the first series was amazing, the second good, and now it finds itself unsure of where to go, and who is the focus of the series. So you've got good bits in each episode, lovely moments, but as a whole the episode seems kinda pointless.

After Kev comes out of his nightclass, pursued by the teacher, he fumbles with the keys to get the car open, manages to get in and the ignition won't turn over (like a clichéed horror movie)....it eventually starts just as yer wan is about to catch up with him...she waves and he sinks the boot.
Turns out Kev's ford escort is a cut'n'shut and falls into two halves.
He bounces out of the wreck and calls up the guy who sold it to him; the guy is out with a few mates and a pitbull and hisses back down the phone at a complaining Kev that there was nothing f*cking wrong with the car when he sold it to him....5 yrs ago :v: "Now f*ck off...we've got a badger here!"

Have to agree with freelancer's points here soemwhat (except for Dr Who)...
Another great enemy this show has is the fact that it's young cast are growing up pretty fast...whilst that opens up new storylines, it also f*cks up the continuity, when you consider how long it takes to film a season the actors may have aged a lot over the course of that season...there's also the danger that some actors may not want to become typecast and their face become synonymous only with Shameless. I'd also hate to see the series dragged out for the sake of viewership...it should be allowed to die a graceful death rather than being flogged like a dead horse...hopefully though, that stage is at least another season away....we'll see.

I agree, I think "Teachers" ,as much as I liked it, dragged on a bit after kurt and brian were killed off, their "replacements" weren't half as good.

    Bump!
Oh man, how I adore Shameless. How good was last night's episode? It's so crude and vulgar but it really is must-see TV. I watched the episode to be screened next week on E4 as well cos I knew I wouldn't get to catch it next week (if you know what I mean!). Absolutely brilliant, it'll soon be added to the DVD collection.

I've only watched this show here and there, but I've watched nearly all of this season so far. It's really good, and I'm thinking of getting the other seasons on dvd.

Really enjoy this show. A bit like a Coronation Street or Eastenders with but " No holds barred"!
