does anyone have any idea where i should go for broadband and phone?

If you stated where you lived we might be able to help you better.

There are one or two VoIP companies people might advise to you over your landline for phone calls if you want to rid Eircom altogether.. ISP choices range from smart to NTL as most popular choices due to costs/bandwidth and quality of service.

ntl bb + blueface/other VOIP provider
smart bb + blueface/other VOIP provider
bt - phone and bb
digiweb dsl/ utv dsl + blueface/other VOIP provider
digiweb metro + blueface/other VOIP provider
irishbb + blueface/other VOIP provider (irishBB should be a last resort)
