PURPLE PATCH ran a good race today to come third at 40/1.it finished like a train and a step up in trip should suit him nicely.there was small support for him before the race too so he might be one to look out for.

    racing tomorow 3:30 newbury.

    racing tomorow 3:30 newbury.

still one to look out for.
Ran a cracker again and came each way even though he was knocked up to class one from class three.

My old reliable horse-tracker has been on to tell me SCARFACE (Chepstow 2:20) is running tomorrow, he went well last time out in the same company (class 5) the extra furlong seemed to catch him out that day. Postdata says he will handle the ground although i find that questionable, he is still a maiden and the jockey is first time aboard. In his favour though are his form coming into the race, each-way money i will advise, however to small stakes.

Team Tassel looks a great bet today at around 16/1 as he was 3rd to commerical flyer in taunton and this is not as far a trip which should suit him more.Negative is the fact Martin Pipes runners hav'nt been going well this season but this horse should have class to be at least placed and Tom Scoudamore on board is a plus.

Coquin D´Alezan who is trained by jarvis ran on really well in the finish yesterday under a not so driven ride, maybe one to watch next time

Also watch out for Montara and amongist amigos today r cleary takes the rides on both for barry potts who lands gambles every now and again e.g dream castle and montara last season.

Did anybody see "lucky Token" win yesterday at Wolver ? P**sed in without even trying, put him into horsetracker and u wont go far wrong :-)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

That's because he was up against a pile of donkies. That's the same as throwing Electrocutionist in against sorbiesharry. Welcome to the forum by the way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,430 ✭✭✭Sizzler

LOL....harsh...but fair point! Thanks ! How did punters get on today? I have a mate with a few horsies in training which are ready to be unleashed as soon as the ground firms up...so get your wallets ready!

Didn't back a single horse today, looked more like a poor midweek card. Twas a soccer only day for me! As I said, welcome to the forum sizzler and hopefully those horses will be something decent.

hi, im new to this forum! was wondering if anyone has any opinions on a Hannon & hughes double at kempton today with Lindbergh (unlucky 2nd here last week at 14/1) @ 4.00 and ballybeg (won at lingfield last week ahead of garstang) @5.00?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,430 ✭✭✭Sizzler

I got stung on ballybeg and that was on the back of a tip...bullox :-( I did win on Polish power tho which made it OK !

Lets keep the peepers open for a few during the week. Has anybody noticed the AW weather at Kempton appears to be throwing up a few more "predictable" winners than the other bandit tracks ...eg Wolver ! So in short could be one to follow ! A few decent horses getting sent down there from whence it was opened....

A horse from my notebook runs tomorrow - Chantelle's Dream, in the 2:20 at Kempton. It's a class 7 banded race for horses rated 0-45 so I'm really scraping the barrel here.

I don't know why I was watching her last race as I don't usually bother with this low-grade stuff but anyway, she was blatantly pulled and finished strongly despite the jockey's best efforts, so I made a note of her for next time. I'm not saying she'll win or anything like that but the Post has her at a forecast price of 25/1 so if there's some money for her tomorrow, she's worth a closer look. If not, then keep your hard-earned in your pocket.

Adare Prince in the 5.50 at Taunton. Huge money has come in for him on debut. P Hobbs trains. Market usually right about the newcomers. Just thought id put that out there. Is currently around 3/1.

Chantelle's Dream didn't win last week when I posted the above but she won today at 12/1 in the 3:00 at Lingfield.

A horse from the notebook is going in plumpton tommorow. Kyno, the only reason he went in is because his last run looks he was pulled for whatever reason, you must see it to believe it, about 4 out he starts to make ground, but the jockey seems to be not arsed trying it looks like he is pushing the horse but he isnt you will see what i mean ;). Have a look for yourselves!!

Oh yeah back e/w just in case;)

Horse seems to have a lot of speed but got no kind of run today. Definite future winner.

I see this horse is due to run in the 1.30 tomorrow at newmarket!

Benchmark - started favourite in above average windsor maiden, was outpaced but stayed on strongly inside final furlong without being knocked about, should improve and when stepped up to 6f should have no problem losing his maiden tag.

I do not want to post something here that will get me banned but have a look at yesterday's 2pm at Market Rasen, look at Soviet Joy and his jockey. It was 11/4 and finished 2nd last. Poor horse in a poor race but my guess is that this horse will romp home in future at a great price, probably kept for a handicap judging by yesterday. Truly shocking stuff. Oh, and thats anothe rthing, the race was won by City of Manchester, a neighbour of the guy who trains Soviet Joy trains it - just stating thats all.

Anyway, put Soviet Joy into the horsetracker, should land in at a big price soon - have a look at the race on racing post site.;)

BURNING INCENSE. He rean a stormer yesterday and should win his next race.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,541 ✭✭✭finnpark

    Mighty Matters

    Put it in your notebook.

I was going to give its stablemate as a tip today on here, it was 9/1 and just won easy. He booked Paddy Breannan on it. However, the above horse was pulled up for no reason while cruising - no reason for pulling it up. Stablemate romps home. I didn't back it but what a "plot" and the above horse can easily win a race in future, it could have won today easy. Good luck.

    Perth 4.15

It was real funny. When he pulled him up you could see from the replay that he was looking at the stablemate jumping the last fense - there was nothing on the horse at all and could have won easy. Its a mug's game this:D

    I'll get the ball rolling.

    Grey Brother

Ran in the beginner's chase at Exeter on Monday(3.25) but was involved in that mini pile up early on and was quickly pulled up. The horse was backed in from 16s to 6s so clearly a big run was expected. It will be interesting to see where he goes next, and also what price he'll be...will the bookies and odds compilers remember the gamble from yesterday or will they just see the dodgy form letters and figures beside his name and install a double figure price for him again?

    Interesting.

    2nd today at 12/1 - getting closer.

Couple of these horses have won since. Also, fair play to that lad who told us the winner of the Derby back in March.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 606 ✭✭✭RedPeppers

Two horses to note here, Spanish Parade who ran in a maiden at Roscommon yesterday is supposed to be out again soon with definate chance of winning. I was told this by good source. Same person has given me Polar Bear as a tip for the Galway festival. I know its a few weeks off but all going well this one should be bang on there.

From some form-lines I mentioned in this thread, I shall be looking out for Eyshal, Miss Maximus and Warriors Key who are all entered in maidens over the coming week.

One I watched yesterday at Bangor - Gentia, came second at 25/1, beaten by a very good odds on shot by about 14 lengths in a novice hurdle but stuck with him until he fluffed the final hurdle. Could be worth a punt next time out, looks like he's got a win in him soon.

Sixties Icon for the English St Leger at York in early September.

Price is about 3.5 on Betfair. Sixth in the English Derby, has gone well since, has a strong staying pedigree Galileo (English Derby winner), Love Divine (English Oaks winner).

Are you sure the horse isnt Polar Bay who was second at 25/1 2 weeks ago.

A bit late to be lettin you lot in on this one but Irelands call is some horse.

I got the call on this horse after his Naas race( 6 or so weeks ago), where apparently he ran a cracker of a race, was bumped and looked out of it 2f out to come back and win well. He was prouncing around after the race, full of energy and my mate (who really knows his stuff, worked in 2 or 3 yards in England) said he would win again, more than likely in Galway.

anyhow he didnt show in Galway, but has won twice since...and up 21lbs today at 7/1 in a competitive race at the Curragh (4:45), to respond well 1/2 furlong out and win the race.

Probably the last or 2nd last handicap race he'll run, group material now tbh....a good thing and made me a few squids today.

so he's ran since, and won another competitive race in oul Leopardstown last week. Prob group race class 3 now for him.

Too more to look out for

    Air Biscuit

    Freda's Choice
(irish horse trained by Patrick Morris )

Abstrat Folly - finished well today at Leicester (5:00).
    will win races, this horse

okay, so the above 4 horses mentioned have all won bar Freda's Choice
    ....................................................................................................
    Abstract Folly has won once

    Air Biscuit has won twice

Irelands Call 3 times and a decent second
    ....................................................................................................

so hopfully I can make it a 4 in the row today. Each Way at 12/1 would be a good bet

I heard a while back that Alan King thinks Pouvoir could be next years Triumph hurdle winner at Cheltenham, he's an ex French flat horse making his hurdles debut today in the 1:10 at Aintree. It will be interesting to see how he does.

This horse will be running in the next few weeks, gonna be 20-1 or higher and will do well. Will be running in the UK.

He's running this weekend alright in Carlisle I think, (the 6th of November at 12.40 anyways) but he's only out for a run. Don't back him this weekend.

Keep an eye out for him, Kenny Johnson rides him, Trained by R Johnson.

I noticed there the other day, Mariah Rollins is now in Nicky Henderson's stables, definitely worth keeping an eye on how he places the horse.

Dubai On. Out of the Godolphin stable I think they have a decent one here (They usually name the horses they think the most of Dubai something), Tom Queely mad a staggering manoeuvre in the last couple of furlongs and must really have known he had a good horse underneath him.

I'm waiting for BAHAR SHUMAAL to run again, after an excellent all-weather debut. He really was a bit dire, but took to the AW very well.

One to watch I reckon (AW only)
